Phone a friend for help - I'm over caffeinated !

Sometimes a very off-hand throwaway comment can spark the greatest thinking.

I imagine Mrs Bell saying to her husband, you’re breaking the rule talking to me from the sitting room while I’m in the kitchen – if only we had something akin to the old can and string talk box we used to make as kids. Voila, right there, the birth of the telephone.

Recently that throwaway line from a friend involved coffee and chocolate.

I know it’s not a new invention, but it is new to me. Chocolate covered coffee beans.

Memo to the R & D department: “get some choc on those beans, make it taste good, make it look good”.

So we source some fine quality Belgian chocolate. Ooh do we go for milk chocolate or dark? Lets try both. Definitely think the dark wins out.

Steal some fine roasted beans from the Oho roastery – check

Some experimenting in the experimenting booth. A few taste tests later (and once the lead food scientist stopped spinning around the room) we ended up with:

Recommended serving 1 adult per day (dangerous to exceed !)

Amazing where a little necessity, or a throwaway line from a friend, can get you.
